MiumMium, the largest online community marketplace for personal chefs in the world, reached 10,000 registered chefs on its online platform this week, less than four months after the company’s official launch. The service, which is free to join, connects diners to personal chefs for an affordable, restaurant-quality meal that is tailored to the client and prepared in their own kitchen.

MiumMium’s chef milestone hits in step with its recent international expansion, as the company now services the United States, France, England, Canada, Belgium, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and Switzerland. The concept has been a magnet for culinary talent looking to unleash their creativity without the constraints of a restaurant, as chefs who sign up with MiumMium can earn extra money in their free time while expanding their skills.

“We are proud to see that our mission of shaking up the at-home dining experience is swiftly resonating with the culinary community,” said Chef Chloe St-Cyr, founder of MiumMium, of the expansion. “We launched MiumMium to provide food lovers with a custom, stress-free and accessible way to dine that is more exciting than eating in a restaurant. We are pleased to see that a MiumMium meal is, on average, 30 percent less expensive than a similar meal at the restaurant. For chefs, we wanted to create an opportunity for them to have control over their careers – making dishes they are passionate about on their own time – so it’s exciting to see that so many have embraced the concept.”

MiumMium’s rapid growth is due in part to its simplicity: pick a date, choose from one of 2,700 unique menus and invite friends. The MiumMium chef takes care of shopping, cooking and cleaning and will even provide culinary lessons along the way. Chefs set their own prices which start as low as $20 per person. MiumMium puts clients in direct contact with chefs to discuss menus as well as any special requests or allergy concerns for a truly tailored dining experience for themselves and their guests.

In the coming months, MiumMium looks to continue its expansion in the international marketplace, as the site is acquiring talent at a rate of 100 to 300 new chefs per day. The company is currently raising external capital to support its exceptional growth.

Diners and chefs can join MiumMium for free by registering at MiumMium.com/register.
